We'll be in the locale with the highest concentration of briefing centers in the world for our 17th Annual ABPM Spring Conference April 13-15, 2010!  A broad agenda and logistical information are below to help you in your planning and to whet your appetite for a great educational and networking experience!   A detailed informational brochure and online registration are available above and below.

ABPM conferences are excellent professional development venues. And with so many ideas being shared, so much creativity being generated, and so many connections being made, attendees will inevitably leave energized and ready to implement new initiatives that will take their programs to the next level.

Tuesday, April 13
2:00 pm - 5:00 pm General Session

• ABPM President, Roxanne McCreery, and ABPM Vice President, Elizabeth Simpson, will kick off the conference together with a 'State of the Briefing World' address. Their comments will focus on the conference theme: 'Mission Possible: Achieving World Class'.
• The very popular Executive Panel will return to this year's conference and will leave you energized you for the days ahead and offer food for thought relevant to you and your program.  We're pleased to have executives from Alestra, BMC Software, EMC Corporation, and Johnson Controls as participants in our Executive Panel discussion. 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm Supplier Celebration

• Enjoy food and refreshment during this heavy hors d'oeuvres reception while you get to know the ABPM supplier members who add so much value to the briefing profession. Whether you're in the market for products and services now, or whether you want to collect collaterals for future reference, this celebration of the ABPM supplier members is designed to meet your information needs! Wednesday, April 14
8:00 am - 5:00 pm Tour Day

• Attendees will visit two or three sites during tour day depending on the tour day package selected: Autodesk and McKesson in San Francisco, Citrix and Sprint, or Cisco, HP, and NetApp.  You’ll give your preference at the time of registration (assignments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis).  Host center descriptions are available in the downloadable brochure (above and below) to assist you with your tour day preferences.  

Thursday, April 15

8:30 - 5:00 pm - Breakout Sessions

• You'll choose from 6 first come-first served sessions during each of 4, 1.5 hour time slots. Detailed session descriptions are available in the downloadable brochure (above and below).  Attendees do not sign up for Thursday breakout sessions; they are first come, first served.  We do plan on providing plenty of seating in each session room, however to ensure you get to attend the sessions you wish, we suggest you review the agenda prior to arrival to plan your own agenda and arrive at each session in plenty of time to find a seat.  We will also provide a private url to attendees with downloadable conference presentations (if provided by presenter) so you can review both if two or more sessions that you wish to attend are scheduled in the same time slot.  Presenters are also generally happy to speak with you about their topics during breaks or meals.  Attending with team members?  Make sure to attend different sessions to gather as much information as possible.
  

6:00 pm - 10:00 pm - Awards Program and Gala Dinner

• We're near California Wine Country so when in Rome... We're looking forward to a great evening at The Palm in the Vineyard.  We'll start the evening with the 2010 World Class Briefing Awards followed by an elegant dinner and dancing.

Conference Fee: The price for Spring Conference registration is $845 for members, $1075 for non-members (briefing professionals or employees of Supplier Member companies only - vendors must be recommended Supplier Members to attend ABPM events). Four+ Discount: Register 4 or more attendees in one registration and receive a 10% off discount code during the registration process to apply at checkout.  All prices are Early Bird prices and will increase $100 per registration after Friday, February 12.  You may pay with Mastercard, Visa, or American Express during registration.  Or if you wish to submit an invoice to your AP department for payment, choose 'Print and Call' during the payment process and you can print an invoice.

New Membership/Registration Bundle Deal: Receive the first year of membership free with non-member rate conference registration! This offer is only available to those who have never been ABPM members.

Transportation and Parking: The Marriott Santa Clara is 4 miles from San Jose Airport and 30 miles from SFO. South & East Bay Shuttle (408-866-6660) or taxi is recommended.  South & East Bay Shuttle is $17 one way from SJC and $29 one way from SFO.  Taxi is estimated at $17 one way from SJC and $90 one way from SFO. Parking at the hotel is $9 per day or $18 per day for valet.

Dress: All activities are business casual with the exception of the Gala Awards Dinner which is cocktail.

Payment & Cancellation Policy: To receive the Early Bird Rate, registration fee must be paid by Friday February 12, 2010. To receive the multiple registrant discount, attendees must register at the same time. Registration fees must be paid prior to Friday, April 9, 2010. You are registered at the time your receive an conference confirmation email from ABPM.  Due to commitments for catering and transportation, we regret that we are unable to issue refunds or credits for cancellations received after Friday, March 12, 2010. However, substitutions may be made at any time. Cancellation and substitution notices must be received in writing.
