Tuesday, April 16
2:00 pm - 5:00 pm General Session

• ABPM President, Roxanne McCreery, and ABPM Vice President, Elizabeth Simpson, will kick off the conference together with a 'State of the Briefing World' address. Their comments will focus on the conference theme: 'Speak Easy: A Roaring 20 Years of Sharing'.

• Sara Canaday - Strategic Leadership Expert and Author of 'You According to Them'. You are the face of your briefing program brand. By building your own personal “leadership brand,” you can also elevate the perceived value of your organization’s briefing program.  But what’s the best way to accomplish both of those goals? The actions with the potential to pay the biggest dividends for building our brands (and our briefing program brands) are the most often overlooked: improving the way we are perceived, the way we engage with and influence our colleagues, the way we exude confidence and command attention in a room. These are the real catalysts for career acceleration, but we frequently neglect them. In this session, Sara Canaday will shed light on these powerful yet undervalued aspects of leadership, providing participants with thought-provoking tools to add significant momentum in reaching success for their own careers and their briefing program brands.

• Enjoy food and refreshment during this heavy hors d'oeuvres reception while you get to know the ABPM supplier members who add so much value to the briefing profession. Wednesday, April 17
8:00 am - 5:00 pm Tour Day

• Attendees will visit two centers during tour day. During registration choose from Small Capacity Centers: Cisco Systems and Steelcase Workspring or Large Capacity Centers: IBM and Microsoft Technology Center.  Assignments will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. Center descriptions are available in the downloadable brochure (above and below) to assist you with your tour day preferences.

Thursday, April 18

8:30 - 5:00 pm - Breakout Sessions

• You'll choose from six sessions during each of four, 1 1/2 hour time slots. Detailed session descriptions are available in the downloadable brochure (above and below). Attendees do not sign up for Thursday breakout sessions; they are first come, first served.  We do plan on providing plenty of seating in each session room, however to ensure you get to attend the sessions you wish, we suggest you review the agenda prior to arrival to plan your own agenda and arrive at each session in plenty of time to find a seat.  We will also provide a private url to attendees with downloadable conference presentations (if provided by presenter) so you can review both if two or more sessions that you wish to attend are scheduled in the same time slot.  Presenters are also usually happy to speak with you about their topics during breaks or meals.  Attending with team members?  Make sure to attend different sessions to gather as much information as possible.
  

6:00 pm - 10:00 pm - Awards Program and Gala Dinner

• We are thrilled to be at the The Art Institute of Chicago for the 12th annual World Class Briefing Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner. Founded in 1879, The Art Institute of Chicago houses some of the most famous works of art in the world. We'll celebrate the briefing profession and enjoy dinner in this historic venue. Following dinner, attendees will be invited to put on their dancing shoes or visit the exhibition all of Chicago is excited about: Picasso and Chicago.

Conference Fee: The price for Spring Conference registration is $845 for members, $1075 for non-members (briefing professionals or employees of Supplier Member companies only - vendors must be recommended Supplier Members to attend ABPM events). Four+ Discount: Register 4 or more attendees in one registration and receive a 10% off discount code during the registration process to apply at checkout.  All prices are Early Bird prices - after February 10, the member rate will increase to $995 and the non-member rate will increase to $1195. You may pay with Mastercard, Visa, or American Express during registration. Or if you wish to submit an invoice to your AP department for payment, choose 'Print and Call' during the payment process and you can print an invoice.

New Membership/Registration Bundle Deal: Receive the first year of membership free with non-member rate conference registration! This offer is only available to those who have never been ABPM members.

Transportation and Parking: The InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile is 18 miles from O'Hare International Airport. The Blue Line Train, Taxi or the Go Airport Express Shuttle are recommended. Taxi is approximately $ 40 plus tip one way from O'Hare. Valet Parking at the hotel is $ 57 per day / overnight.

Dress: All activities are business casual with the exception of the Gala Awards Dinner which is cocktail.

Payment & Cancellation Policy: To receive the Early Bird Rate, registration fee must be paid by Friday February 15, 2013. To receive the multiple registrant discount, attendees must register at the same time. Registration fees must be paid prior to Friday, April 12, 2013. You are registered at the time you receive a conference confirmation email from ABPM.  Due to commitments for catering and transportation, we regret that we are unable to issue refunds/credits or void outstanding invoices for cancellations received after Friday, March 15, 2013. However, substitutions may be made at any time. Cancellation and substitution notices must be received in writing.
