Annual Sponsorship Opportunities
When we sent a communication detailing 2020 ABPM sponsorship opportunities in 2019, we thought we pretty much knew what the year 2020 would look like. We were obviously wrong. This year, we know for sure that we don’t know what 2021 will look like in terms of in-person versus virtual events. What we want you to know for sure is that we value your partnership and are grateful for your support of the ABPM community. We also understand completely that these are challenging times. A 2021 sponsorship may not be possible for your company, in which case we will look forward to partnering with you again in 2022. Or if flexible payment plans are needed, we are very happy to accommodate those as well. We sincerely want you to make whatever business decisions are best for your company at this challenging time.
One thing we have learned over the years is this: out of crisis comes creativity and resourcefulness. When we had to redefine sponsor benefits for a virtual conference, our emphasis was not only on providing value for that conference, but on strengthening sponsorship benefits throughout the year. So now, more than ever, we are focused on ensuring that ABPM sponsorships are annual investments with comprehensive benefits and exposure throughout the year in almost every member activity that the ABPM offers. For example, one of the new benefits is that, at most levels, sponsors can offer ABPM memberships to first-time briefing program members as part of their benefits package.
A comprehensive list of benefits begins on page 2 of the document in the right column of this page. We hope that ABPM events will be in-person affairs next year. But, just in case that's not possible, the list is color-coded: green font applies to both virtual and in-person events; orange font applies to virtual events only; and black font applies to in-person events only. Each Sponsor level will own an element at a 2021 Conference. As always, assignments to specific elements will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis (the sooner you submit your commitment form, page 7, the more choices you have), and the previous year’s owner has first right of refusal. We can accept Sponsorship commitments at any time leading up to the 2021 Spring Conference, but the deadline for recognizing your company as a sponsor in the preliminary conference agenda for Spring 2021, which will be e-mailed in early January 2021, is Friday, December 4, 2020. Companies who notify us of their wish to be an ABPM Sponsor after that date will still be acknowledged on updated agendas, the ABPM.com sponsor page, final conference materials, and signage at all conferences — but will not be included in the initial launch of the Spring Conference marketing push and initial agenda.
