The day-to-day demands of managing a briefing program with operational excellence leave us little time to think strategically and develop our own strategic leadership style. Leaders can, and should, exist at all levels of a briefing organization. Effective leaders are confident in their styles and protect the values they believe in. This course helps participants identify their leadership strengths and define their personal leadership brand.

This virtual workshop will occur via Zoom. Login information will be included in your event registration confirmation.
 
Who Should Attend:
This course is for managers and individual contributors who want to develop their strategic leadership style. 
 
Course Outline:
I.   What is strategic leadership?
II.  How is leadership different from “management”?
III. How do briefing professionals demonstrate strategic leadership?
IV. Characterize your personal leadership style.
V.  Draft a personal leadership brand statement.
VI. Create a personal action plan to develop leadership skills.

Deliverables:
  • A bibliography of strategic leadership resources.
  • Slides from the course.
  • Participants will identify their own personal leadership brand and develop an action plan for personal development.
  • ABPM Advanced Competency Course (ACC) credit

Virtual Workshop Fee: The price for this virtual workshop registration is $399 for members, $545 for non-members (briefing professionals or employees of Supplier Member companies only - vendors must be recommended Supplier Members to attend ABPM events). During registration, you can pay with credit card (ABPM accepts Mastercard, Visa, American Express or Discover), or ABPM members can create an invoice to submit to your AP department.

Payment & Cancellation Policy: Registration fee must be paid by Friday, April 12th, 2024. You are registered at the time you receive a conference confirmation email from ABPM. Due to commitments to the instructor regarding class minimums, we regret that we are unable to issue refunds/credits or void outstanding invoices for cancellations received after Friday, April 5, 2024. However, substitutions may be made at any time. Cancellation and substitution notices must be received via email to info@abpm.com.
