Mission and Overview


Focusing on out-bound development and sales, the Account Manager will research, identify, and qualify potential leads,  manage select client relationships, draft proposals, internally manage the contracting process and coordinate efforts between Thinkwell and strategic partner firms. The position, which requires stellar communication skills, has the goal of expanding TWG's network of clients internationally and through new and exciting markets/industries.


This position may be based in Los Angeles or remote in the United States. 


The Project Development Department is responsible for generating new business, maintaining relationships with existing clients and facilitating the onboarding of clients as their projects go into production. The department collaborates closely with other internal departments to craft proposals that clearly reflect our understanding of and approach to each individual project.



  • Identify and qualify leads for projects within the assigned market. Introduce TWG to the clients through formal pitching or informal means.

  • Determine opportunities and scope, and work with the Director to determine the appropriate strategy to close a deal. Research and investigate best practices for new markets.

  • Create proposals, qualifications decks, etc. for new clients and act as point of contact through the sales process and through pre-production and kick off.

  • Meet quarterly and annual sales goals as assigned by the Director.

  • Act as the “subject matter expert” for architectural, engineering, interior design projects and business development, keeping your finger continuously on the market’s pulse.  

  • Maintain contact with past clients through correspondence and personal visits.

  • Prepare formal presentations including the gathering of information, the composition of text, and graphic layout.

  • Pitch Thinkwell Group capabilities and projects to potential clients. 

  • In collaboration with the Legal department, prepare contracts for client review and acceptance.

  • Support the creation of RFP materials in coordination with the Proposal Manager, as assigned by the Director.

  • Achieve a network within the industry of other industry professionals.

  • Represent Thinkwell Group at industry functions and conventions.

  • Investigation and development of new technologies (or new applications of existing technologies) for use in Thinkwell projects;

  • Participate in the creation of "department-specific" marketing material as required.

  • Maintain client records in the CRM database.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 3+ years in a business development, project management, or project development role at an architecture or interior design firm, or for a general contractor, or in the themed entertainment industry, or 5+ years of work experience in a related field.

  • College degree in business, marketing, construction management, or similar, or equivalent work experience. 


Desired Skills

  • Demonstrated success in acquiring and retaining clients and meeting sales goals.

  • Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills. 

  • Experience working with international clients, specifically the Middle East, preferred.

  • Track record of creating successful proposals and RFP responses.

  • Understanding of the architectural design process.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to communicate effectively (strong verbal and written communication skills) and work cooperatively.

  • A willingness to collaborate and an excitement to work with creatives. 

  • Working knowledge of Keynote.

  • Strong understanding of Excel and/or Google Sheets.
