Manager, Honeywell Technology Experience Center


Chaloner is seeking a Manager for the Honeywell Technology Experience Center (HTEC), an interactive visitor center showcasing Honeywell technology located in Washington, DC. This position reports to the Managing Director, Storybuilding at Hyperquake (HQ), an experiential marketing company that is responsible for the HTEC. The Manager is based at Honeywell’s Washington, DC office as a full time embedded employee that will be considered a member of Honeywell’s staff and Government Relations team while remaining employed and supervised by Hyperquake. Honeywell is a global Fortune 100 software-industrial technology company. They are shaping the future by making businesses smarter, faster and safer - across industries including Buildings & Utilities, Worker Safety & Performance, Industrial, Cybersecurity, Logistics & Supply Chain, and Aerospace. 


The Manager is responsible for overall management of the HTEC toward maximized usage as a communication, relationship building, and sales enablement platform. This includes content creation, budget and resource management, providing tours for visitors, and tracking success metrics.


  Content Development

  • Identify and develop updates to reflect new Honeywell products, solutions, and services
  • Interface across all levels of Honeywell and coordinate between business units and their partners
  • Provide guidance relating to best practices for building DC HTEC content. Ensure brand consistency
  • Organize and execute an annual content update. Maintain archive of digital asset files


  • Proactively market the Center within the Honeywell organization, including creating and pushing a strong communication plan
  • Implement, with marketing leads of other centers, a standard process for success metrics
  • Create dashboards to share functional effectiveness

  Operations Management

  • Manage the day to day operations and budget for the Washington, DC HTEC
  • Oversee technical maintenance and upgrades to keep the experience relevant
  • Manage relationships with external and internal suppliers
  • Oversee development - scheduling, job trafficking, and approvals - towards on time/ budget delivery



  • Act as the company’s experience ambassador for visitors to the center
  • Manage calendar, coordinate customer visits. Book and manage events and give tours
  • Facilitate (after-hours) events for VIPs and special guests of leadership team
  • Coordinate with Honeywell administrative team


Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s in Marketing, Communications, Museum studies, Event management or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of communications, public relations/public affairs, government relations or marketing experience in a corporation, agency or government environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of creative and production processes for presentations, video, photography, etc.
  • Expert organizational and project management skills; a relentless attention to detail
  • Strong communication/presentation skills. Fluent in written/spoken English, other languages a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with executive briefing centers or visitor centers 
  • Proficiency with audio/video systems and PC-based computer systems
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Experience with content management systems and database management tools such as Salesforce.com
  • International relations and/or government relations a plus, particularly in industrial technology and manufacturing
  • Knowledge of exhibit design and fabrication, production of physical displays
