EBC Manager, San Jose CA
In close partnership with HPE sales teams, internal solution and services experts and industry experts, the San Jose Executive Briefing Center (EBC) Manager works with his/her team to design customized briefings and content for HPE’s enterprise and public sector customers in our Silicon Valley Innovation Hub. The EBC Manager plays a critical role in helping customers explore solutions and in identifying and creating new opportunities through customer visits. With responsibility for all aspects of Center operations and related customer experience, the Manager is a passionate customer advocate with a strong command of how HPE’s solutions can help customers achieve business outcomes. This individual exhibits solid communication, business development and presentation skills, and enjoys serving as an evangelist with customers. The role requires a unique blend of motivational, inspiring leadership (a proactive change agent), with the ability to manage operational details and drive impeccable execution. Lead strategic alignment across organizations and resources to deliver highly impactful, outcome oriented customer engagements and experiences that help our customers achieve their goals, deepen relationships and result in strong ROI for the business. Develop and drive briefing engagement programs with our key alliances that can be activated across our WW network of EBCs.

Responsibilities:
• Drives strategic direction, stakeholder engagement and operations for the Executive Briefing Center, EBC, as part of HPE’s network of world class executive briefing centers.
• Works closely with business stakeholders (business/sales leaders, country managers, Chiefs of staff, etc.); seen as a trusted partner when curating customer engagements
• Via a team of Briefing Program Managers and evangelists, consults with clients, account managers and business development specialists to create briefings and custom experiences strategically aligned to customers’ and HPE account teams’ objectives
• Manages direct and indirect teams to oversee responsibility for EBC programs, customer experience and facilities, including daily operations, logistics, hospitality, and relationships with external/internal vendors (i.e. catering, real estate, etc.)
• Accountable for targets in sales pipeline influenced/generated, revenue/wins impacted, customer satisfaction and customer relevance metrics
• Actively facilitates discussions with clients throughout the day of the briefing
• Cultivates an effective pool of discussion leaders to engage with customers
• Leads, coaches, develops and inspires a world-class team
• Manages daily Center operations according to EBC excellence standards
• Works with EBC Metrics team to compile, analyze and manage reporting of all significant Center metrics, including usage statistics/trends, evaluation scores, internal and external customer feedback; mines this data for actionable insights
• Drives programs on behalf of Strategic Customer Engagement organization to syndicate best practices WW, develop new skills and strategies for the organization. Proven business development, solution-selling and consultative skills
• Ability to interface professionally with customers and facilitate dialogues that drive results
• Demonstrated leadership ability, with experience developing high performing teams
• Strong understanding of HPE strategy; broad knowledge of HPE businesses/markets
• Proven track record of innovative problem-solving and creative disruption
• Excellent communication skills; polished presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills
• Able to manage a complex budget with competing priorities
• Ability to influence and drive results through others without having direct authority Education And Experience Preferred
• Business Analyst (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in Marketing or related field; Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred
• 7+ years marketing experience
• Experienced in managing virtual teams
• Prior experience in managing direct reports a plus
• Sales, channel, program management experience a plus Knowledge And Skills Preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build, manage and influence direct reports and virtual teams
• Mastery knowledge of marketing fundamental, products/services/solution lifecycle and knowledge management
• Experience across integrated marketing communications
• In-depth knowledge of industry and customer segments and demand generation program
• Strong partner focus, including experience with global and local Independent Software Vendor (ISV)s, System Integration (SI), retail or channel partners
• Excellent written/oral communications and analytical skills
• Excellent negotiating skills
• Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines
• Excellent influencing, consensus-building and conflict-resolution skill
