The Executive Briefing Program Director is a highly visible role responsible for the Teradata's global Executive Briefing Program.  There are 3 locations - 
San Diego (HQ), London, Tokyo, and virtual.  This role is a direct report to the VP, Global Customer Advocacy and will be responsible for innovative and engaging customer experiences in our global EBCs, specifically at our headquarters EBC in San Diego, CA, that demonstrates Teradata’s leadership in the marketplace.  You will oversee a team of Executive Briefing Program Managers tasked with executing global EBCs to customers, prospects, and partners.

The Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the recently transformed Executive Briefing Center in San Diego. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of sales, as well as a passion for developing Discussion Leaders. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, capable of driving change, comfortable and experienced in presenting to leadership, and has demonstrated prior EBC leadership.  The candidate will collaborate with marketing, sales, product, IT, corporate real estate, and third-party agencies to touch all elements of an executive briefing with the end-goal of driving pipeline and accelerating sales.  The director will be responsible for upholding Teradata’s master brand and EBC brand through trusted relationships with executives, account teams, and presenters.  The position requires strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills and the ability to communicate to business-critical organizations within Teradata to ensure the success of the Executive Briefing Program.

  • Manage a highly visible EBC program that helps accelerate sales and nurtures customer relationships.
  • Cultivate a Discussion Leader Certification Program of certified speakers and facilitators, identifying new SMEs, thought leaders, and compelling subject matter for briefings.
  • Be highly motivated in supporting sales by touching and influencing pipeline through briefings.
  • Love getting your hands on the data to continuously improve, measure impact, and identify opportunities to further grow the program.

  • Collaborate with product management, product marketing, GTM enablement, and brand  to ensure content supports Teradata’s latest vision/strategy, roadmaps, and messaging.
  • Manage and develop career progression plans of a team of EBC team members versed in meeting logistics, onsite management, speakers and agenda building.
  • Align sales and marketing metrics and KPIs, attributing EBC customer visits using Salesforce.
  • Define, monitor, implement, and iterate on success metrics and customer and account team surveys to ensure the EBC supports sales acceleration and customer expectations.
  • Leverage existing tools (e.g. Salesforce, PowerBI) and identify new tools to support scaling the briefing program effectively, automating processes, and integrating into Teradata’s Sales and MarTech tools stack.
  • Manage a global team of EBC Program Managers, ensuring quality and consistency across all geos.
  • Have a passion for building and maintaining your personal and team brand reputation with executive leadership, sales, product, and customers.


  • 15+ years in Sales and/or Marketing required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S./B.A.) required, MBA preferred.
  • Prior IT/High Tech industry experience required.
  • Prior executive briefing program management experience required.
  • Must be willing to work in San Diego office five days per week.
  • Experience using digital selling tools and content for executive briefing centers.
  • Experience driving cultural change relating to sales and marketing alignment, preferably within subscription- and cloud-based enterprises.
  • Experience managing customer engagement through experiential design
  • Experiential and event design experience, bringing forth not only new and innovative ideas, but also effective and impactful execution tactics that will move the needle.
  • Strong program and project management skills, managing vendors, cross-functional marketing and cross-department teams.
  • Expertise in the design and implementation of experiential technology.
  • Understanding of, and ability to navigate, corporate real estate and construction projects.
